Bristol Stool Chart is a good communication tool. It will help both you and the doctor to understand your bowel habits. The following factors should be recorded for every bowel movements in a day.
- Type of stool as per Bristol Stool Chart (Number 1 to 7, or mixed for example 5 and 7 OR 2 and 5)
- Timing of Bowel Movement (7.30 am, 6pm, etc)
- How long did it take for you to pass the stool (5 minute, 10 Minute, 30 Minute)
- The quantity of stool passed (Small, Medium, Large)
